Dr. Leins

Dr. Leins earned his D.O. in 2008 from Midwestern University Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine.  While there he sought out additional training opportunities from the faculty as well as respected physicians in practice.  As a result, he was recognized with awards for his promising clinical skills and dedication to Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.  

After graduation from medical school, Dr. Leins completed his residency in Family Medicine at the Community Health Network Family Medicine Residency in Indianapolis, Indiana.  There he practiced full-spectrum family medicine, providing prenatal care and delivering babies, treating hospitalized patients, outpatient care of pediatrics through geriatrics, rounding at the nursing home, providing sports medicine care for local high school football teams, as well as advocating for the establishment of an Osteopathic specialty clinic at the residency which was implemented and is still successfully running.

Dr. Leins was hired as clinical faculty at the residency and helped train family physicians while maintaining his clinical practice from 2011-2013.  He was an attending physician for the residency's hospital service, their outpatient clinics, as well the weekly osteopathic specialty clinic.  During this time he traveled all over the country for additional training in musculoskeletal medicine and osteopathic manipulation, and incorporated this aspect of care with his patients in all settings, not just the specialty clinic.

In 2013, Dr. Leins was accepted for fellowship training in Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine/Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine (NMM/OMM) at the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine.  His training involved one on one mentoring from some of the most respected osteopathic physicians in the country, teaching opportunities at the University of New England's College of Osteopathic Medicine, patient care at the outpatient clinic in Saco,  as well as inpatient hospital service and maternity services at Maine Medical Center in Portland.  In that year, he treated over one thousand patients with osteopathic manipulation for a wide variety of ailments.  He now carries two board certifications, family medicine and NMM/OMM.

In the Summer of 2014, he moved to northern Colorado along with his wife and daughter to be closer to their family and to start the Parakletos Osteopathic Clinic.
